- Layering these two elements creates not just a bed but a work of art that reflects your personality and brings joy to your daily routine. As you tuck yourself in at night, wrapped in the softness of your duvet insert and the elegance of your duvet cover, you'll understand why this simple combination is the epitome of comfort and style.
Most commonly called a bed skirt or bed ruffle, this is a decorative piece of fabric placed between the mattress and box springs. It extends to the floor at the mattress's sides and bottom. Its main function is to hide the box spring, but bed skirts also add a touch of softness, color, and decor to the room.
In addition, the duvet cover material offers a choice of comfortable options. Select a soft flannel on a chilly January day and switch it out for lighter cotton when the warmer weather arrives in April.

Don't feel that you have to stick to the materials on this list. I just finished testing the Naturalmat Organic Hemp Bed Linen Collection, and I can't stop talking about this miracle material. Hemp combines all the best bits of linen, in terms of breathability and durability, and it's that little bit softer to suit sensitive sleepers. If you're looking for something more luxurious, the Shleep Luxury Merino Wool bedding set could be right up your street.
Choosing the Right Option
Decide whether you like your bedding to feel smooth and silky, cool and crisp, or cosy and warm. This will help you choose which bed linen fabric and weave will suit you best.
Packaging - Each of our bed linen products, our duvet covers, fitted sheets, flat sheets and pillowcases pairs are all delivered in a matching linen or Egyptian cotton bag without any plastic wrapping.

Linen GSM - Linen is measured in GSM (grams per meter) and typically ranges from 100gsm to 200gsm. We use 150 GSM for our linen bedding range. We found lower GSM too thin and higher GSM too heavy and rough to the touch.
